Chateau Bertinerie Sauvignon Blanc, Bordeaux, France. Made with 100% Sauvignon Blanc this wine is a wonderful example of how the Cotes de Blaye has the perfect ‘terroir’ for wine making. The climate is favourable in slowing the ripening on the vine, allowing the grape more time to develop a balance between its acidity and sugar levels. This wine shows flavours of peach and citrus fruits, giving the wine the typical “zesty” Sauvignon flavour.
 
Chateau Bertinerie Merlot – Cabernet, Bordeaux, France. With a blend of 60% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Cabernet Franc this wine sticks with ‘Right Bank’ tradition. Like the greatest wines of Bordeaux, the grapes are picked by hand. The wine also spends time in region’s traditional barrels. It is round and powerful, with aromas of red berries supported by a good structure on the palate.
